Cooper Heck is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Ohio Northern men’s lacrosse team in 2024.

Heck joined the Polar Bears after serving as a graduate assistant coach for the men’s lacrosse team at NAIA Columbia College in Columbia, Mo., from 2021-2023.

In two years at Columbia, Heck served as offensive coordinator and coached 14 All-Conference players and one All-American in helping lead the team to a 17-11 record, including two conference tournament appearances and a 2023 conference championship.

Heck also served as recruiting coordinator, head of operations and social media director and planned and organized daily practice plans and scouting reports. He also served as a leader and instructor for lacrosse, basketball and football youth camps.

Heck was a starting attackman for the Columbia College men’s lacrosse team from 2017 to 2021 and served as a team captain from 2019 to 2021. In 2021, the team won the KCAC regular season and tournament championships and earned a berth in the NAIA National Tournament.

Heck is a two-time graduate of Columbia College, earning a bachelor of arts in psychology with a minor in sociology in 2021 and a master of business administration in 2023.
