Peyton Lich named OAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Peyton Lich (Palmyra, N.Y./Macedon) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Mar. 17-23.

The recognition comes after scoring his first career goal, and the first goal scored by a goalie in ONU history, along with having eight saves in a 19-6 win over Mount Union on Saturday. Lich scored on a 100-yard run and point-blank finish to put ONU ahead 10-0 in the second period.

This is his first time receiving the honor.

The Polar Bears (6-3 overall, 1-0 OAC) return to action on Wednesday when they host Baldwin Wallace (5-4 overall, 1-0 OAC) at 7 p.m.
