Junior Colin Willits named OAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Colin Willits (West Chester/Lakota West) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Mar. 9-16.

This is his first time receiving the honor.

The recognition comes after having a four-goal hat trick in a 14-12 win over Rhodes (Tenn.) on Wednesday. He also added one goal in a 13-4 loss to Franklin and Marshall on Monday and two goals in an 18-4 win over Hendrix (Ark.) on Friday.

Through eight games this season, Willits leads the team with 18 goals. In his career, he ranks fifth all-time in ONU history with 60 goals.

The Polar Bears (5-3 overall) return to action on Saturday at Mount Union at 1 p.m. to kick off OAC play.
