Men's Lacrosse rallies in fourth quarter to win at Rhodes (Tenn.) 14-12

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team rallied in the fourth quarter to post a 14-12 victory at Rhodes (Tenn.) on Wednesday afternoon.

- Junior Colin Willits (West Chester/Lakota West) had a four-goal hat trick.
- Junior J.D. Hale (West Chester/Lakota West) had a three-goal hat trick.
- The Polar Bears trailed 11-9 with 10:28 left in the game, but rallied with four consecutive goals to grab a 13-11 lead with 2:22 remaining.
- The Lynx scored at the 1:52 mark to pull within 13-12.
- Senior Ian Roy (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Northern) scored with 35 seconds left to ice the game for ONU.
- Eight different Polar Bears scored goals in the contest.
- Rhodes was led by Drew Downes with four goals.
- Freshman Peyton Lich (Palmyra, N.Y. /Macedon) stopped 14 of 26 shots on goal to grab the win.
- RC out-shot ONU 42-40 and each team had 42 ground balls.

- Sophomore Mitchell Luck (Linden, Mich.) leads the team with 21 points and nine assists to go with 12 goals.
- Sophomore Ryan Frech (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne) leads the team in caused turnovers this season with 16 and in ground balls with 26.
- Senior Chad Calderwood (Portland, Ore./Episcopal) won 8 in faceoffs on the day, extending his school record to 472 for his career.
- He also has the career ground balls record with 216.
- Willits ranks seventh all-time in ONU history with 58 career goals.
