Griffin leads list of six Polar Bears named All-OAC in Men's Lacrosse for 2022

ADA — Senior Bradley Griffin (Troy, Mich./Bloomfield Hills) leads a list of six Ohio Northern players to be named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in Men's Lacrosse for 2022 in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.
Griffin was named First Team All-OAC as a defender.
Junior Riley O'Neal (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) and sophomore Sebastian Michaud (Springboro) were Second Team All-Conference honorees and senior Ben Gawronski (Dublin/Scioto), senior Ethan Falsone (Orchard Park, N.Y.) and junior Cole Zaferakis (Liverpool, N.Y.) received Honorable Mention All-OAC kudos.
Griffin is a three-year starter on defense and ranks fourth all-time in ONU history with 49 career caused turnovers.
This season, he started all 17 games, had 44 ground balls and is sixth in the OAC with a team-high 27 caused turnovers.
O'Neal started all 17 games in the midfield this season and finished the season with eight goals, 19 assists and 27 points.
Michaud led the team with 28 goals and 43 points in his first season as a starter on the attack. He was also fifth on the team with 29 ground balls this season.
Gawronski also had a team-best 28 goals to go with nine assists and 37 points in his first season as a full-time starter on attack.
In his four seasons at ONU, Gawronski ranks seventh in school history with 45 goals and is eighth with 64 assists.
Falsone was selected as a short-stick defensive midfielder. He had two goals, two assists, 25 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers in 17 games this season.
Zaferakis is a three-year starter and has started all 37 games in goal the past three seasons.
He was named to the Inside Lacrosse.com All-Freshman Team as the nation's top freshman goalie in 2020 and has been named the OAC Defensive Player of the Week three times in his career.
Zaferakis ranks second all-time at ONU with a 24-13 record and 299 saves to go with his 8.79 GAA.
The Polar Bears posted their seventh consecutive winning season in 2022, going 12-5 overall, and were third in the OAC with a 7-2 league record under seventh-year head coach Nat St. Laurent.
