Five named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in Men's Lacrosse for 2021

ADA — Five Ohio Northern student/athletes were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in Men's Lacrosse for 2021 in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.
Seniors Cameron Marous (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights), Pat Berthelsen-Leon (Bethpage, N.Y.) and Branden Stoeffler (Fishers, Ind.) were Second Team selections.
Seniors Kevin Giles (Newport News, Va./Warhill) and John Mullin (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) were Honorable Mention All-OAC award winners.
Marous is now a 4-time All-OAC honoree as an attacker, earning First Team kudos in 2016 and Second Team honors in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
He led ONU with 22 goals, 24 assists and 46 points this season.
Marous is ONU's all-time career leader with 140 goals, 110 assists and 250 points in 71 career games. He also ranks fourth-all time with 130 ground balls.
He was also named 3rd Team CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America as a junior in 2019.
Berthelsen-Leon was third on the team with career-highs of 18 goals and 20 points from his midfield position this season.
In 49 career games, he recorded 39 goals, 8 assists, 47 points and 30 ground balls.
Stoeffler earned All-Conference honors on defense in his first season in the starting lineup.
He was third on the team with 25 ground balls and nine caused turnovers this season.
Giles has played in 70 career games with 52 starts in the midfield.
He was fourth on the team with 14 goals and tied for third with 20 points, six assists and nine caused turnovers this season.
In his five seasons at Ohio Northern, Giles ranks fifth all-time in ONU history with 58 goals and 78 points and is eighth with 20 assists.
Mullin is a five-year regular as a SSDM.
This season, he was second on the team with 10 caused turnovers and had 5 goals, 2 assists, 7 points and 23 ground balls.
In 63 career games, Mullin ranks fifth all-time in ONU history with 37 caused turnovers. He also has 14 goals, 2 assists, 16 points and 73 ground balls.
The Polar Bears posted their sixth consecutive winning season in the six-year history of the program in 2021 with an 8-6 overall mark. ONU was fourth in the OAC with a 6-3 record under sixth-year head coach Nat St. Laurent.
