Men's Golf finishes third at Capital Fall Invitational

LANCASTER - The Ohio Northern men's golf team wrapped up its weekend of competition with a third place finish at the Capital Fall Invitational on Sunday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished third of four teams with a 26-over par 314 on the par-72 course.
- Otterbein won the team title with a 307, Marietta was second with a 310 and Capital was fourth with a 317.
- ONU Season Record: 24-10.

ONU Individuals
- Freshman Gordon Kopmeyer (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./St. Mary's) finished second of 34 golfers with a career-low even par 72 to lead the Polar Bears.
- Freshman Dylan Potts (Dublin/Jerome) carded an 80 to finish tied for 16th.
- Junior Evan Dennison (Ashland/Mapleton) and freshman Ian Briars (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) tied for 18th with 81s.
- Junior Joey DeSimone (Munroe Falls/Stow-Munroe Falls) tied for 24th with an 83.
- Playing on the ONU "B" team, senior Andrew Briars (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) tied for eighth with a 78.
Notables
- This was the seventh of eight tournaments Ohio Northern is scheduled to participate in this fall.
- ONU head coach Chad Bucci is 402-382-16 in his 12th season at the helm of the men's program, a winning percentage of .513.
