Men's Golf finishes fourth of 10 at Trine (Ind.) Ken Venturi Invitational

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Ohio Northern men's golf team finished fourth of 10 teams at the Trine (Ind.) Ken Venturi Fall Invitational on Tuesday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished with a 21-over par 305 on the par-71, 6384-yard course.
- Wayne State (Mich.) won the team title with a 290, Trine was second with a 296, Siena Heights (Mich.) was third with a 304 and Albion (Mich.) was fifth with a 308.
- ONU Season Record: 19-8.

ONU Individuals
- Freshman Ian Briars (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) led the Polar Bears with a 2-over par and career-low 73 to finish tied for third out of 110 golfers.
- Freshman Freshman Dylan Potts (Dublin/Jerome) tied for 13th with a 76.
- Junior Bennett Christy (Plymouth, Ind.) tied for 13th with a 77.
- Junior Joey DeSimone (Munroe Falls/Stow-Munroe Falls) tied for 46th with an 80.
- Playing as an individual, junior Domenic Pilla (Highland Heights/St. Ignatius) was 18th with a 76.
Notables
- This was the fifth of nine tournaments Ohio Northern is scheduled to participate in this fall.
- The tournament was made up of schools from NCAA Divisions II and III and NAIA members.
- ONU head coach Chad Bucci is 397-380-16 in his 12th season at the helm of the men's program, a winning percentage of .512.
