Men's Golf finishes second of eight at Bluffton Fall Invitational

BLUFFTON - The Ohio Northern men's golf team finished second of eight teams at the Bluffton Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
The Basics
- The teams played 36 holes - 18 on Saturday and Sunday.
- Ohio Northern finished with a 301-308—609 on the par-72, 6668-yard course.
- Anderson (Ind.) won the team title with a 299-309—608, Olivet (Mich.) was third with a 311-307—618 and Heidelberg was fourth with a 311-316—627.

ONU Individuals
- Freshman Ian Briars (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) led the Polar Bears with a 74-76—150 to finish fourth out of 52 golfers.
- Junior Joey DeSimone (Munroe Falls/Stow-Munroe Falls) finished fifth with a 75-76—151.
- Senior Andrew Briars (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) tied for sixth with a 75-77—152.
- Junior Bennett Christy (Plymouth, Ind.) tied for 13th with a 77-79—156.
Notables
- This was the fourth of nine tournaments Ohio Northern is scheduled to participate in this fall.
- A group of Ohio Northern reserves participated in the OAC Fall Preview Saturday and Sunday, finishing fifth of seven with a 310-320—630.
- Freshman Dylan Potts (Dublin/Jerome) led ONU with a 74-79—153 to finish 15th of 60 golfers.
- ONU head coach Chad Bucci is 391-377-16 in his 12th season at the helm of the men's program, a winning percentage of .509.
