Men's Golf finishes third of six at Bluffton Fall Classic

BLUFFTON — The Ohio Northern men's golf team moved up one spot to finish third of six teams at the Bluffton Fall Classic on Saturday-Sunday.
The Basics
- The Polar Bears finished third overall with a 301-294—595.
- ONU Record: 27-11-2

Results
- The Polar Bears shot a second round 294 to finish 19-over par on the 6866-yard, par-72 course.
- Northern's final round 294 ties for the third-lowest round in school history.
- ONU's 595 ties for the 5th-lowest 36-hole title in school history.
- Lourdes won the team title with a 583.
- Places 2-6 are separated by only 7 strokes.
- Muskingum was second with a 591, Heidelberg was fourth with a 601, Tiffin was fifth with a 602 and Bluffton was sixth with a 609.
- Individually, Brandon Azzi of Tiffin won Medalist honors with a 140.
ONU Individuals
- Freshman Aashir Patel (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant) led the Polar Bears with a career-low 74-72—146 to finish tied for 6th place out of 48 golfers.
- Sophomore Anthony Naso (Grosse Ile, Mich.) tied for 11th with a 78-71—149.
- Junior David Walsh (Cincinnati/Moeller) tied for 13th with a 75-75—150.
- Sophomore Bennett Christy (Plymouth, Ind.) tied for 18th with a 75-77—152.
- ONU head coach Chad Bucci is now 349-336-15 in his 11th season at the helm.
