DeSimone, Walsh lead Men's Golf to 4th-place finish at Trine (Ind.)

ANGOLA, Ind. — Junior David Walsh (Cincinnati/Moeller) and sophomore Joey DeSimone (Munroe Falls/Stow-Munroe Falls) each fired even par 71s to lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Trine (Ind.) Ken Venturi Invitational on Wednesday at the Zollner Golf Course.

- The Polar Bears shot a 300 to finish 29 over par and tie NAIA school Grace (Ind.) for fourth place.
- Calvin (Mich.) won the tournament with a 279. Trine and Wayne State (Mich.) tied for second with 282s.
- Trine's Mark Civanich won Medalist honors with a 66.
ONU Individuals
- Freshman Aashir Patel (Schaumburg, Ill./James B Conant) tied for 37th out of 110 golfers with a 76.
- Sophomore Austin Hanni-Wells (Findlay/Liberty-Benton) tied for 78th with an 82.
- Playing on the ONU B team, senior Jacob Brooks (New Albany) also tied for 37th with a 76.
