Anthony Naso, Andrew Briars post top-6 finishes as Men's Golf places second at Baldwin Wallace Spring Invite

HINCKLEY — Freshman Anthony Naso (Grosse Ile, Mich.) and sophomore Andrew Briars (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) each posted top-6 finishes to lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team to a second place finish at the Baldwin Wallace Spring Invitational on Sunday.
The Polar Bears (38-35 overall) finished second of five teams with a 322 at the Pine Hills Golf Club.
Naso was second out of 34 golfers with a 3-over par 75 and Briars tied for sixth with a 6-over par 78.
Freshman Joey DeSimone (Munroe Falls/Stow-Munroe Falls) was 15th with an 83, freshman Bennet Christy (Plymouth, Ind.) tied for 20th with an 86 and sophomore Adam Trigg-Holdman (Cincinnati/Roger Bacon) was 28th with a 92.
Playing as an individual, freshman Jagan Wilkerson (Brookville) also tied for sixth with a 78.
Baldwin Wallace won the team title with a 312, Lake Erie was third with a 323, Wooster was fourth with a 332 and Hiram was fifth with a 409.
BW's Logan Bratsch won Medalist honors with a 69.
The Polar Bears return to action on Wednesday at the Defiance Invitational.
