Naso wins Medalist honors, leads Men's Golf to second place finish at Polar Bear Easter Classic

HARROD — Freshman Anthony Naso (Grosse Ile, Mich.) fired a 2-under par 142 to win Medalist honors and lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team to a second place finish at the 6-team Polar Bear Easter Classic Friday and Saturday at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears (35-34 overall) finished with a 299-310 on the par-72 course.
Denison won the team crown by one stroke with a 295-313—608, Bluffton was third with a 304-313—617 and Tiffin was fourth with a 311-317—628.
Naso followed a 2-under par 70 in his opening round on Friday with an even par 72 on Saturday to win by three strokes over Mason Deal of Toledo.
Sophomores Adam Trigg-Holdman (Cincinnati/Roger Bacon) and David Walsh (Cincinnati/Moeller) tied for 10th out of 62 golfers with 155s, freshman Joey DeSimone (Munroe Falls/Stow-Munroe Falls) tied for 28th with a 77-85—162 and freshmen Bennet Christy (Plymouth, Ind.) was 38th with a 75-91—166.
The Polar Bears return to action on April 26 at the Defiance Invitational.
