Tournament Preview: The Ohio Northern men's golf team will continue its spring schedule Monday and Tuesday at the DePauw (Ind.) Dan Quayle Invitational at the Covered Bridge Golf Club ... Anderson (Ind.), DePauw (Ind.), Earlham (Ind.), Ohio Wesleyan, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.), Wabash (Ind.) and Wittenberg will join ONU in the unusual format that will feature both stroke play and match play to determine the team champion … On Monday morning, the eight teams will play 18 holes of stroke play with 6-man teams counting the best four scores to determine the seeding for match play ... Match play will begin Monday afternoon at 2 pm with the top four seeds playing in the semifinals and seeds 5-8 will begin match play to determine places 5-8 ... The No. 1 seed will face the No. 4 seed in one semifinal and the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds will compete in the other semifinal ... Seed 5 and 8 will face off and seeds 6-7 will face off in the consolation semifinals ... The finals, 3rd place, 5th place and 7th place matches will begin at 9 am on Tuesday ... ONU was slated to compete last Monday at the Muskingum Invitational, but the tournament was canceled due to inclement weather ... A group of reserve players will travel to Muskingum for another tournament this Monday ... Through 11 rounds this fall, freshman Bennet Christy leads the team in scoring with a 77.0 average ... Senior Josh Steyer is second t 77.5, freshman Anthony Naso is third at 78.6 and sophomore Adam Trigg-Holdman is fourth at 78.7.
