Men's Golf wins John Carroll Invitational

SHAKER HEIGHTS —The Ohio Northern men's golf team won the John Carroll Cashera Invitational on Monday at the Shaker Heights Country Club.
The Polar Bears (12-19-2 overall) won the 5-team tournament with 310 strokes. John Carroll was second with 3112, Baldwin Wallace was third with 317, Mount Union was fourth with 320 and Heidelberg was fifth with 344.
Sophomore Josh Steyer (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) led ONU with a 3-over par 75, just two shots off the lead.
Junior Austin White (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) shot a 76, junior Andrew Slusher (Covington) carded a 79, junior Jared Hernandez (Van Wert) had an 80 and junior Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) posted an 82.
John Carroll's Mike Cummins won Medalist honors with a 73.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday at the Otterbein Invitational.
