Men's Golf edges Heidelberg 3-2 in match play contest

TIFFIN — Ohio Northern edged Heidelberg 3-2 in a match play contest on Sunday at Mohawk Country Club.

Junior Sam Straker (Zanesville) made an 8-foot par putt on the 18th hole to win his back and forth match.

Sophomore Dylan Morris (Bellevue/Margaretta) won 3 and 2 with a par saving 10 footer of his own to finish the match.

Freshman Jacob Brooks (New Albany) won 7 and 5.

Sophomore Matt Russo (Medina/Akron Bishop Hoban) and sophomore Garrett Allen (Zanesfield/Ben Logan) lost their matches.

The Polar Bears will be back in action today at John Carroll.
