Men's Golf finishes fourth in tight Otterbein Cardinal Classic

WEST LAFAYETTE —The Ohio Northern men's golf team finished fourth at the Otterbein Cardinal Classic on Saturday at River Greens Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (7-19-2 overall) finished just three shots off the lead with a 27-hole score of 453. Otterbein won the team title with a 450 and Capital and Marietta tied for second with 452s.
Junior Andrew Slusher (Covington) led ONU with a 3-over par 111.
Junior Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) shot a 5-over par 113, junior Jared Hernandez (Van Wert) had a 6-over par 114, sophomore Josh Steyer (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) had a 7-over par 115 and junior Austin White (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) was 10-over par at 118.
Per NCAA rules, only 18 hole scores will count toward the individual player's season and career statistics.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Monday at the Heidelberg Invitational in Tiffin.
