Men's Golf finishes second at Capital Purple and White Invitational 2

GALENA — Sophomore Josh Steyer (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) finished runner-up with a 76 to lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team to a second place finish at a second Capital Purple & White Invitational on a cold and windy Sunday at the Royal American Links.
The Polar Bears (5-11-2 overall) finished second of five teams with 319 strokes.
Steyer was just one shot off the lead to finish second of out of 41 golfers.
Junior Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) shot a 78 to tie for third, junior Andrew Slusher (Covington) had a 79 to tie for sixth, junior Jared Hernandez (Van Wert) had an 86 and sophomore Matt Russo (Medina/Akron Bishop Hoban) had a 91 for ONU.
Otterbein won the team title with a 315, Marietta was third with a 321, Muskingum was fourth with a 328 and Capital was fifth with a 329.
Capital's Ben Satterthwaite won Medalist honors with a 75.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Monday at the Muskingum Invitational in Zanesville.
