Andrew Slusher grabs Medalist honors as Men's Golf wins Lourdes Gray Wolf Invitational

SYLVANIA —  Sophomore Andrew Slusher (Covington) won Medalist honors and the Ohio Northern men's golf team won the 5-team Lourdes Gray Wolf Invitational on Monday at Sylvania Country Club

The Polar Bears (14-14 overall) finished with a 325 for the 18-hole tournament.

Lourdes was second with a 332, Tiffin was third with a 346, Siena Heights (Mich.) was fourth with a 362 and Columbus State CC was fifth with a 363.

Slusher finished first out of 36 golfers with a 6-over par 78 on the 6,811-yard course.

Freshman Alex Cabungcal (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) tied for second with a 79 and sophomores Jared Hernandez (Van Wert) and sophomore Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) tied for eighth with 84s.

Playing as an invididual, freshman Andrew Lyon (Ottawa Hills) tied for fith with an 81.

The Polar Bears will wrap up its fall schedule on Saturday at the Defiance Fall Invitational.
