Men's Golf team finishes second at ONU Invitational

HARROD -- The Ohio Northern men's golf team posted a second place finish at the 2014 ONU Invitational tournament on Friday at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears (28-36-1 overall) finished second of three teams with 312 strokes. Columbus State CC won the team title by two strokes with a 310 and Heidelberg was third with a 338.
Sophomore Rick Deichert finished tied for second with a 3-over par 75 out of 18 golfers on the par-72, 6843-yard course.
Freshman Blaine Ricketts was fourth with a 76, freshman Tyler Davis was seventh with an 80 and sophomore Brandon Lambert tied for eighth with an 81.
Michael Maxwell of Columbus State won Medalist honors with a 73.
The Polar Bears will return to action Sunday and Monday at the OAC Spring Invitational.
