Men's Golf stands in fourth place of seven teams after third round of 2013 OAC Tournament

WEST LAFAYETTE — Ohio Northern is in fourth place out of seven teams after 54 holes at the 2013 Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships Saturday at the River Greens Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (53-27-3 overall) have a 311-299-314—924 after three rounds of the four-round tournament.
The players completed 27 holes on Friday and 27 more on Saturday, setting up an 18-hole finish on Sunday.
Junior Colin Burns led ONU in the second and third rounds, shooting a 7-over par 151.
Freshman Rick Deichert leads ONU through 54 holes and is seventh of 35 golfers overall with a 75-72-81—228.
Deichert was tied for the lead after the first 36 holes with a 3-over par 147 and is just five shots off of the lead in a tightly-packed leaderboard.
Burns is tied for 13th with an 80-74-77—231 and junior Ryan Wirtz is tied for 15th with an 80-77-75—232.
Sophomore Andrew Quintrell is tied for 18th with a 76-76-81—233 and sophomore Ted Loewendick is 27th with an 82-78-82—242.
Mount Union holds the team lead with a 304-299-299—902, Otterbein is second with a 302-298-303—903, John Carroll is third with a 304-308-303—914 and Capital is fifth with a 312-312-301—925.
John Carroll's Nicholas Boccio is in first place individually with a 7-over par 71-79-73—223.
