WEST LAFAYETTE -- Ohio Northern sophomore Colin Burns holds a 1-shot lead after Day 2 of the 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golf Tournament Saturday at River Greens Golf Course.

The teams played 27 holes on Friday and 27 more on Saturday and will conclude the tournament with 18 more holes on Sunday.

Burns sits in first place out of 41 golfers through 54 of the 72 holes with a 7-over par 70-78-75--223.

The Polar Bears (46-26-3 overall) are tied for fourth place with 924 strokes, but are just four shots out of second place and 17 shots out of first place.

Otterbein leads the team standings with a 907, Mount Union is second with a 920, John Carroll is third with a 921 and Capital is tied with ONU in fourth with a 924.

For ONU, freshman Andrew Quintrell is tied for 11th with a 78-78-85--231, senior Travis Ballinger is in 24th with an 83-80-72--235, sophomore Ryan Wirtz tied for 28th with an 80-83-77--240 and senior Phillip Caffee is t30th with an 82-79-80--241.

Clay Rice of Capital is one shot behind Burns with a 77-76-71--224 and Ben Adams of Otterbein sits two shots back with a 73-74-75--225.

The top 10 individual finishers will earn All-Conference honors.

Tee times for the Ohio Northern golfers will begin at 10:44 am on Sunday.
