Bio

Derek May is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Ohio Northern men's and women's bowling teams.

May is a USBC Silver trained coach. He first picked up a bowling ball at 12 years of age and has been bowling ever since.

During his high school career, he bowled for Beechcroft (OH) High School.

After high school, he went on to bowl at the collegiate level at Bowling Green State University. He was a four-year varsity athlete who made seven All-Tournament teams, and he assisted the team in winning seven tournaments during his collegiate career.

May got his USBC Bronze training in 2018 and Silver in 2019. He gives private and group lessons while also assisting in several RKH Coaching clinics.

Along with several years of coaching experience, he has gained extensive pro shop experience while working at Ye Olde Pro Shoppe.

May has a great passion for the sport of bowling, and he looks forward to what he can bring to the Ohio Northern University bowling program.

He currently resides in Findlay with his fiance, Christina.
