Men's Bowling finishes a program-best fifth of 16 at first Ohio Bowling Conference tournament

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern men's bowling team opened up Ohio Bowling Conference portion of its season on Saturday with a program-best 5th place finish at the first of four OBC tournaments.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 5th of 16 teams with 5,261 pins.
- Venue: Palance Lanes - Columbus, Ohio.
- Northern knocked down 3,701 pins in four individual games, an average of 185.1 per game.
- ONU knocked down 1,560 pins in eight baker games, an average of 195.0 per game.
ONU Individuals
- Freshman Andrew Knight (West Liberty/Riverside) was 22nd with a 791 4-game series to lead the Polar Bears
- Freshman Giovanni Scanio (Corpus Christi, Tex./London) was 25th with a 777.
- Sophomore Nolan Caban (Dayton/Centerville) was 43rd with a 726 series.
Notables
- The 5th place finish is the highest OBC finish for the Polar Bears in program history.
- The previous best was a 12th place finish at the OBC IV last year.
- This was the second of 10 events for Ohio Northern in its second season.
- Second-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
