Men's Bowling improves two spots on Day 2, finishes 24th of 28 at Lehigh Valley Collegiate Classic

WHITEHALL, Pa. — The Ohio Northern men's bowling team posted a strong second day of competition on Thursday to improve two spots from Day 1 and finish 24th at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Classic.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 24th of 28 teams with 7,488 pins.
- Venue: Jordan Lanes — Whitehall, Pa.
The Tournament
- ONU currently defeated Penn State University Park (7,481), Schenectady County Community College (7,357), Millersville University (7,243) and Rutgers (4,968).
- The Polar Bears were in 26th place with 4,113 pins after Day 1 of the competition, which consisted of five team games. They recorded a pinfall of 3,375 on Day 2, which consisted of 20 Baker games.
- Indiana Tech won the team title with 9,412 pins.
- Individually, freshman Nolan Caban (Dayton/Centerville) led the Polar Bears on Day 1 with 870 pins through five games. He posted a high game of 217 with an average game of 174.
- Freshman Lukas Dunbar (Orient/Teays Valley) scored 865 pins through five games on Day 1. He posted a high game of 206 and averaged 173.
Notables
- This was the fourth of four days for the Polar Bears competing in two events in Pennsylvania.
- The Polar Bears placed 27th of 29 teams at the two-day Roto Grip Keystone Quaker Classic at Haja Rose Bowl in Allentown, Pa., on Monday and Tuesday.
- First-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
