Caban, Dunbar lead Men's Bowling on Day 1 of Keystone Quaker Classic

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The Ohio Northern men's bowling team closed out Day 1 of the Roto Grip Keystone Quaker Classic in 27th place on Monday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 27th of 29 teams with 4,181 pins on Day 1 of the competition, which consisted of five team games.
- Venue: Haja Rose Bowl — Allentown, Pa.
The Tournament
- ONU currently sits ahead of Rutgers (3900) and Schenectady County Community College (3891).
- William Paterson University leads the event after Day 1 with 5407 pins.
- Individually, freshman Nolan Caban (Dayton/Centerville) led the Polar Bears on Day 1 with 905 pins. He posted a high game of 200 with an average game of 181 and is in 56th place of 206 bowlers.
- Freshman Lukas Dunbar (Orient/Teays Valley) is in 59th place with 903 pins. He posted a high game of 219 and averaged 180.6 through five games.
- Freshmen Jacob Braun (Sugarcreek/Garaway) and Henry Zitzelberger (Chillicothe/Zane Trace) are in 115th and 116th, respectively. Braun totaled 651 pins with a high of 187 in four games, and Zitzelberger tallied 645 pins with a high of 215 in four games.

- This was the first of four days for the Polar Bears competing in two events in Pennsylvania.
- First-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
