OLIVET, Mich. — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team used a second half surge to post a 76-57 victory at Olivet (Mich.) on Monday night.

The Game
- Sophomore Carter Reese (Columbus/Westerville North) led the Polar Bears in scoring with 18 points and also had 3 steals.
- Junior Will Miller (Ottoville) also notched 18 points and had 4 assists as well.
- Sophomore Jadi Cunningham Jr. (Columbus/Westerville South) added 11 points, had 6 assists, and grabbed 6 rebounds to go with it.
- Senior Blake Michael (Fremont/St. Joseph Central Catholic) added 8 points and grabbed 10 boards.
- Nathan Richardson led the Comets with 18.
- In a closely contested first half, there were 10 lead changes as well as six ties throughout the half.
- The Polar Bears would take a 36-34 lead into halftime with a late layup by freshman Aiden Harris (Pandora/Pandora-Gilboa).
- Ohio Northern would open the second half with a 12-3 run, pushing the lead to 48-37 with 16:25 left.
- The Comets would make it a 59-52 off of a made free throw by Nathan Richardson with 8:38 to play.
- Northern would respond with a 17-5 run to close out the game.
- Ohio Northern was 29-of-65 from the floor for 44.6 percent and made 10-31 three-pointers for 32.3 percent, while Olivet (Mich.) finished 20-of-46 from the field for 43.5 percent and 3-of-10from three-point range for 30.0 percent.
- ONU made 8-of-9 free throws for 88.9 percent and UO was 14-of-26 from the foul line for 53.8 percent.
- The Polar Bears out rebounded the Comets 35-29.
