Jacoby scores 19 points to lead Men's Basketball in 81-66 loss at Capital

BEXLEY — Freshman Cayden Jacoby (Pettisville) scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Ohio Northern men's basketball team in an 81-66 loss at Capital on Saturday afternoon.

- Freshman Jadi Cunningham Jr. (Columbus/Westerville South) put up 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds and gave out seven assists.

- Sophomore Will Miller (Ottoville) added nine points and grabbed three rebounds.

- Capital started off hot with a 19-5 run in the first 4:52 of the contest and led 44-25 at halftime.
- The Polar Bears kept battling, outscoring the Comets 41-37 in the second half.
- Ohio Northern was 27-of-65 from the floor for 41.5 percent and made 6-of-17 three-pointer for 35.3 percent, while Capital finished 27-of-54 from the field for 50 percent and 7-of-17 from three-point range for 41.2 percent.
- ONU made 6-of-12 free throws for 50 percent and MC was 20-of-27 from the foul line for 74.1 percent.
