Bio

David Price is in his third season as an assistant coach at Ohio Northern. He coaches the defensive line and serves as the recruiting coordinator at Northern.

Price spent the previous six seasons as an assistant coach at Hiram College, where he coached the linebackers and defensive line, was the defensive coordinator and associate head coach.

As the defensive coordinator at Hiram, Price helped the Terriers to their best season in 30 years and a top-8 ranking nationally in takeaways.

He has also coached ten All-Conference defensive linemen in seven years.

In 2015 Price was one of thirty coaches selected nationally to participate in the NCAA and NFL Coaches Academy. The academy is an opportunity for current, full-time intercollegiate football coaches at NCAA member institutions and current (and former) NFL athletes to expand their knowledge and insight into the world of intercollegiate football coaching.

Price is a 2008 graduate of the University of Akron with a degree in Psychology, where as a student he was a walk-on member of the football team.

Price was raised in Charlottesville, Virginia playing football for Albemarle High School from 1999-2002. During his tenure, he was an accomplished football player as a starter at a variety of positions including: defensive line, offensive line and linebacker. 

Price earned First Team All-Commonwealth district and First Team All-Central Virginia honors as a junior and a senior. As a senior, Price was a First Team All-Region pick and was selected as a member of the Prep-Star Magazine All-East team.

He currently resides in Ada with his wife, Jackie who is the head coach of the ONU softball team and an ONU alum.
