Bio

Andre Griffin is in his second year as a full-time asistant football coach at Ohio Northern. He coaches the running backs and serve as recruiting coordinator.

Griffin had spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons as a part-time assistant coach at ONU.

Prior to coming to ONU in 2020, he spent the previous five seasons as the head coach at nearby Lima Senior High School.

He also spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at Division II Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) from 2008-15 and three seasons at fellow OAC member Capital from 2005-07.

Andre Griffin grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating from Shaker Heights High School. He continued his academic and athletic career, playing college football as a running back at The Ohio State University, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology. 

Andre is the son of Archie Griffin and Loretta Laffitte-Griffin. He and his wife, Deanna, have two sons, Dianté and Adrien.
