Bio

Sean Buckley enters his fourth season as the quarterbacks coach at Ohio Northern.

Prior to his arrival at ONU, Buckley was an assistant coach at Ohio State from 2013-17.

He helped guide the program to 61 victories over the five-year period and receive bids to five New Year’s Six Bowl games, including two College Football Playoff appearances. He also helped coach standout quarterbacks J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones in 2014, running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Mike Weber in 2015, and tight end Marcus Baugh from 2016-2017.

Buckley is a 2010 graduate of the University of Toledo, where he received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.

A native of Perrysburg, Ohio, Buckley started coaching during his undergraduate years at Genoa Area High School, helping coach Mike Vicars' teams amass a 56-7 record, win 48 consecutive regular season games, capture four league titles, and make a state Final Four appearance in 2008.
