Football to open Andy Fries era at home against Franklin (Ind.) on Sept. 7, 2024

ADA — The Ohio Northern football team will open its 2024 schedule and the Andy Fries era with a non-conference battle against Franklin (Ind.) on Saturday, Sept. 2, at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

After a bye week, the Polar Bears will play at Heidelberg on Sept. 21.

Northern will then host Wilmington on Sept. 28 as part of Homecoming Weekend.

Ohio Northern will then travel to Marietta on Oct. 5, host Muskingum on Oct. 12 and travel to Capital on Oct. 19.

The Polar Bears follow with the final two home games of the schedule against Mount Union on Oct. 26 and John Carroll on Nov. 2.

The regular season then wraps up on the road with games at Baldwin Wallace on Nov. 9 and at Otterbein on Nov. 16.

Northern's contest at Heidelberg will be the 14th annual Bendekovic Bowl battle.

The Polar Bears posted a 4-6 record and finished sixth in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 4-5 record in 2023.
