Robbie Brown, Shawn Glosek named Defensive and Offensive Coordinators for Football ahead of 2024 Season

ADA — Head coach Andy Fries has announced new additions to the Ohio Northern football coaching staff as assistant coaches Robbie Brown and Shawn Glosek have joined the staff ahead of the 2024 season.
Brown will serve as the defensive coordinator.
Brown comes to ONU after a one-year stint as defensive coordinator at Bethany (W.Va.) in 2023. He also served as defensive coordinator at Kenyon in 2022 and was the defensive pass game coordinator at Wilmington from 2018-21.
He also had coaching stops at Oberlin, North Carolina Wesleyan and Defiance. Brown was a four-year player as a defensive back at Ohio Dominican and graduated from ODU with a sport management bachelor's degree in 2011.
Brown received a master's degree in business administration from Defiance in 2015.
Glosek will serve as the offensive coordinator and the quarterbacks coach.
Glosek comes to ONU after serving one season as running backs coach at Valdosta State (Ga.), where he helped the Blazers reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II playoffs.
He also coached three seasons (2020-22) at Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) as tight ends coach, quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator. Glosek had coaching stints at Dickenson (Pa.) in 2019 and Kutztown (Pa.) in 2018 as well as at several high schools.
He earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Kutztown in 2019.
The Polar Bears are slated to open their 2024 season Sept. 7 at home with Franklin (Ind.) at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
