Senior Brody Hahn caps successful season in FCS National Bowl

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Ohio Northern senior quarterback Brody Hahn (Louisville) was part of a dominant showing by the American Team on Sunday as it defeated the National Team 67-16 in the FCS National Bowl at Daytona Beach Stadium.
Hahn finished Sunday's game 4-of-6 passing for 28 yards and added 51 yards and a touchdown on four carries.
After the American Team gained possession of the ball on an interception 49 seconds into the game, Hahn led a four-play drive that ended in a field goal.
He completed a 20-yard pass on the first play of a touchdown drive early in the second quarter that put the American team up 24-3 following the PAT.
Hahn's touchdown came late in the third quarter after the American Team recovered a fumble on a sack. On the very next play, he ran the ball into the end zone from 12 yards out, giving the American Team a 46-16 lead with 3:47 left in the period.
Hahn later added a 28-yard run and a 7-yard pass completion on an eight-play touchdown drive that capped the game's scoring with 3:38 remaining.
First held in 2014, the FCS National Bowl is an annual postseason college football all-star game consisting of the top players from college football FCS schools. The game gives NFL and CFL scouts a chance to view and get to know some of the best players from smaller schools.
Sunday's FCS Bowl came after a highly successful season for Hahn at Ohio Northern. A 2021 First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and D3football.com Third Team All-Region 4 selection, Hahn had a record-setting season in his second year as a Polar Bear after transferring from Muskingum, where he was a three-year starter.
He completed 203-of-357 passes for a school-record 3,061 yards and a school-record 32 touchdowns and was a two-time OAC Player of the Week this season.
Hahn also threw for a school-record 502 yards and tied the single-game record with 29 completions, going 29-of-49, in a 62-27 victory at Wilmington.
In just 14 games as a Polar Bear, Hahn, a two-time All-OAC honoree and five-time OAC Player of the Week, threw for 4,270 yards and 42 touchdowns. His 4,270 passing yards ranks him 10th all-time at ONU.
In his five seasons as a collegian, Hahn threw for an impressive 9,147 yards and 72 touchdowns.
The Polar Bears posted a 4-6 record and finished seventh in the OAC this season under 18th-year head coach Dean Paul.
