ADA — The Ohio Athletic Conference has named Ohio Northern senior quarterback Brody Hahn (Louisville) and senior kicker Dom DiFalco (Murraysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) as Football Players of the Week on offense and special teams, respectively, for their performances against Marietta on Saturday.
This marks Hahn's second conference Player of the Week accolade of the season and fifth of his career. The honor is the second of DiFalco's career.
In the Polar Bears' 34-33 comeback win over the Pioneers on Homecoming, Hahn completed 24 of 44 passes for 441 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions while adding 27 rushing yards.
Hahn has thrown for 1,725 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, which both lead the OAC.
On Saturday, Hahn connected with senior receiver Austin Eick (Rossford) for a 9-yard touchdown pass with 18 seconds left for the game-tying score.
That touchdown pass was set up by three completions to senior receiver James McDougald (Bowie, Md./Bridge Tutorial) totaling 35 yards and a 24-yard quarterback scramble.
That drive took just 39 seconds total and brought DiFalco on the field for the go-ahead PAT after the Polar Bears had trailed 33-24 with 11:27 remaining.
DiFalco was 4-for-4 on PATs in the game and made two of his three field goals, connecting from 22 and 40 yards and missing a 40-yarder.
His 40-yard make brought ONU within six, 33-27, with 8:33 left in the game.
He also had touchbacks on three of his six kickoffs.
The Polar Bears (4-1 overall, 3-1 OAC) have this week off and will return to action Oct. 16 at John Carroll.
