Senior Brock Martin named OAC Football Offensive Player of the Week

ADA — Senior running back Brock Martin (Attica/Seneca East) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week after helping to lead the Polar Bears to a 34-10 season-opening win over Denison at home on Saturday.
Martin carried the ball 28 times for a game-high 118 yards and had one touchdown.
His 1-yard rushing score capped a 9-play, 81-yard drive that put the Polar Bears up 14-7 with 13:35 left in the first half.
Martin also played a huge part in closing out the Polar Bear victory in their 17-play, 60-yard drive that consumed 11 minutes and 27 seconds of game time in the fourth quarter, leaving just 11 seconds on the clock when Denison regained possession.
He carried the ball 10 consecutive times to start that drive and 14 times overall in the series for a total of 50 yards.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday when they begin the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of their schedule with a 7 p.m. game at Muskingum.
