Football to kickoff 2021 season Sept. 4 with home contest against Denison

ADA — The Ohio Northern football team will open its 2021 schedule with a non-conference battle with Denison at Dial-Roberson Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 4, under 18th-year head coach Dean Paul.

The Polar Bears will then travel to Muskingum and Wilmington on Sept. 11 and 18, respectively.

ONU will return home for a pair of games on Sept. 25 against Otterbein and Oct. 2 against Marietta as part of Homecoming Weekend at Ohio Northern.

Northern will then play at John Carroll on Oct. 16 and will host Capital on Oct. 23.

The final road game will be Oct. 30 at Mount Union, followed by the final two games of the season at home with Baldwin Wallace on Nov. 6 and Heidelberg on Nov. 13.

Northern's contest with Heidelberg will also be the 11th annual Bendekovic Bowl battle.

The Polar Bears posted a 3-1 record and finished second in the Ohio Athletic Conference West Division with a 3-1 record in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season this spring.
