Sophomore defensive end Josh Bever named to D3football.com Team of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore defensive end Josh Bever (Ashland) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the week of March 8-14.

Bever had eight tackles (our solo) as the Polar Bears opened their 2020-21 season with a 17-7 victory over Otterbein on Friday night at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

He also had two tackles for loss and a sack. The sack came on Otterbein's final drive and forced the Cardinals to use their final timeout with 52 seconds left.

Bever was a First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree and a Third Team All-North Region pick as a freshman a year ago and has 62 tackles, 18 TFL and 11.5 sacks in 11 career games.

Ohio Northern will return to action March 26 at Capital.
