Sophomore Austin Eick named OAC Football Offensive Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Austin Eick (Rossford) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in ONU's 39-10 win at Muskingum on Saturday.

Eick had a career-day, catching eight passes for 136 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Polar Bears (1-1 overall, 1-0 OAC).

His four touchdown passes came in a 12:16 span in the second and third quarters, helping ONU turn a 10-3 deficit into a 32-10 lead.

This season, Eick leads the team with 12 receptions for 175 yards and five touchdowns.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday with a 2 pm contest at Wilmington.
