Saturday's Contest: Today's contest features a battle of upper division OAC schools and is ONU's first home game since Sept. 15, a span of 28 days. ONU is 535-493-36 in 124 seasons of play, a winning percentage of .518. ONU and JCU are in a 3-way tie for third place in the OAC with Baldwin Wallace with 3-1 records.

ONU Head Coach Dean Paul: Paul is in his 15th season at ONU with a 100-49 record, a winning percentage of .671. Paul is ONU's all-time winningest coach in ONU football history. He is 140-61 in 20 seasons overall and is 9-5 vs. JCU.

JCU head coach Rick Finelli: Finotti is in his 2nd season at JCU with a 10-5 record. He is 0-1 against ONU.

ONU Last Week: Marietta converted a 2-point conversion with 22 seconds left to rally past ONU 43-42 on Sept. 29. QB Anthony McFadden completed 18-of-29 passes for 261 yards and 4 TDs and WR Chad Rex caught 10 passes for 156 yards and 2 TDs for Ohio Northern. RB Brock Martin ran 12 times for 100 yards and two scores for the Polar Bears. The two teams combined for 1,039 yards, including 569 in the first half. MC held a 531-508 advantage. LB Mark Niles tied a career-high with 15 tackles and junior David Haseleu had 12 tackles to lead the Ohio Northern defense.

ONU Leaders: The Ohio Northern running game is led by RB A.J. Marks (52 att, 427 yards, 2 TDs), RB Brock Martin (78 att, 412 yards, 9 TDs) and QB Anthony McFadden (59 att, 374 yards). QB Anthony McFadden is 79-of-128 passing for 1,050 yards and 12 TDs. WR Chad Rex (39 rec, 463 yards, 5 TDs) and WR Caleb Saalfeld (16 rec, 273 yards, 3 TDs) lead the receiving corps. LB Mark Niles, LB David Haseleu, S Andrew Valenti lead the defense with 65, 43 and 43 tackles, respectively.

JCU Last Week: Then-#11 John Carroll held Capital to minus-18 yards rushing and posted a 44-0 Homecoming victory at Don Shula Stadium. RB Michael Canganelli ran 23 times for 160 yards and a TD and QB Anthony Moeglin threw for 181 yards and 3 TDs for the Blue Streaks. CB Connor Robinson and S Nate Leopold each had 7 tackles and LB Tyshawn Jones has 5 tackles and 2 interceptions to lead the JCU defense. John Carroll led 3-0 after the first quarter, 16-0 at halftime and 30-0 after three periods.

JCU Leaders: The JCU running game is led by RB Michael Canganelli (95 att, 432 yards, 4 TDs) and RB Sam Kukura (43 att, 252, 4 TDs yards). QB Anthony Moeglin is 70-of-126 passing for 832 yards and 8 TDs. WR Evan Nugent (13 rec, 198 yards, 3 TDs) and TE Danny Disbrow (17 rec, 197 yards, 3 TDs) lead the JCU receivers. DE Adam Thompson, LB Tyshawn Jones and DE Jimmy Thomas lead the defense with 25, 24 and 22 tackles, respectively. DE Jimmy Thomas leads JCU and is third in the OAC with 6 sacks.

Last Year's Game: ONU scored touchdowns on both of its overtime possessions and got a big defensive stop on a 4th and 7 to hold on for a 27-20 2OT win at JCU. RB Christiaan Williams ran 31 times for 212 yards, including an 18-carry, 159-yard effort in the first half. He also caught four passes for 82 yards and had 294 all-purpose yards. The game was tied at 13-all after regulation and JCU went on top 20-13 on a 9-yard TD pass on its first OT possession. ONU tied it at 20-all on a 14-yard TD pass from QB Will Freed to RB Rodney Holmes. In the second OT, Freed hit WR Caleb Saalfeld on a 12-yard TD pass to put ONU up 27-20.

ONU Statistical Leaders:

All-Time Series: JCU leads the series between the two schools by an 18-13 margin. ONU has won two of the last three games, including a 27-20 double overtime win last year in University Heights. The road team has won the last five games in the series with the last four games being decided by 7 points or less.
