Sophomore Joe French named OAC Special Teams Player of the Week

ADA — Sophomore Joe French (Elgin, Ill./St. Edward Central Catholic) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in Ohio Northern's 44-3 football victory over Muskingum Saturday afternoon.

French tied his own ONU single-game record with three field goals in the Polar Bear victory Saturday afternoon. 

French connected on field goal kicks of 26, 32, and 38 yards.

The sophomore also set the Ohio Northern single-season record with 11 field goals this season.

The Polar Bears return to action Saturday as they travel to Marietta to take on the Pioneers at Don Drumm Stadium at 1:30 pm.
