Football to open 2016 season with return trip to Utica (N.Y.) on Sept. 10

ADA — The Ohio Northern football team will kickoff its 2016 schedule on Sept. 10 at Utica (N.Y.) under 13th-year head coach Dean Paul.
For the second time in the past three seasons, the Polar Bears will play their first three games on the road.
After the opener at Utica, ONU will play at Heidelberg on Sept. 17 and at Otterbein on Sept. 24.
Northern's home opener will be Oct. 1 against Mount Union at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears will also host John Carroll on Oct. 15, Muskingum on Oct. 22 and Wilmington on Nov. 5.
Ohio Northern posted a 9-3 record in 2015, finishing second in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 7-2 mark.
ONU advanced to the Second Round of NCAA III Playoffs and ended the season ranked No. 19 nationally by D3football.com.
