Saturday's Contest: Saturday's game is the ninth game of the year overall and the fourth and final roal game for ONU. It is also the final home game and is Senior Day at Wilmington.
Last Year's Game: Ohio Northern celebrated Senior Day with a 50-15 win over Wilmington in Ada. The victory also clinched an upper division finish for ONU in the 10-team OAC for the 18th time in the last 19 seasons. WR Devon Price caught seven passes for 111 yards and a score and became ONU's all-time career receptions leader. QB Patrick Angle completed 16-of-27 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns and RB Justin Magazine ran 12 times for 112 yards and a score for ONU. With the score tied at 3-3 after the first period, ONU outscored WC 40-5 in the middle 30 minutes to lead 43-8 entering the fourth quarter. ONU out-gained WC 560-269 in total offense. Defensively, LB Dillon Kwiat had a game-high 11 tackles and had an interception to lead ONU.
ONU Last Week: ONU rolled to a 62-21 victory over Marietta on Halloween Night on Saturday at Dial-Roberson Stadium. The Polar Bears improve to 6-2 overall and are 5-2 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Pioneers fall to 1-7, 1-6. RB Justin Magazine ran 24 times for a career-high 200 yards and a TD and WR Devon Price caught 10 passes for a career-high 182 yards and three TDs, but QB Ricardo Johnson may have had the biggest night of all for the ONU offense. Johnson completed 13-of-19 passes for a career-high 235 yards and 3 TDs and ran 10 times for as career-high 106 yards and three more touchdowns. In all, Johnson accounted for 341 yards and six touchdowns. He had TD runs of 20, 9 and 20 yards and TD passes of 27, 10 and 28 yards to Price. On defense, LB Trent Stout had a career-high 18 tackles and S Justin Tello had a career-high 13 tackles for the Polar Bears. The Polar Bears would score on 10 of their first 11 possessions, amassing 618 yards of total offense on the night. ONU led 17-7 after the first quarter, 31-14 at halftime and 52-14 after three periods of play.
ONU Leaders: The ONU running game is led by All-OAC RB Justin Magazine (181 att, 980 yards, 12 TDs) and QB Ricardo Johnson (25 att, 203 yards, 5 TDs). QB Will Freed has completed 105-of-186 passes for 1,584 yards and 10 TDs and QB Ricardo Johnson has completed 27-of-37 passes for 351 yards and 5 TDs. WR Devon Price (64 rec., 826 yards, 4 TDs) and WR Reed Allen (23 rec, 506 yards, 5 TDs) lead the ONU receivers. LB Zach Schmerge, S Dan Eller and LB Trent Stout lead the ONU defense with 85, 72 and 63 tackles, respectively. DE Kyle Beverly leads ONU with 3.5 sacks.
WC Last Week: Wilmington turned the ball over seven times, five via interceptions, and fell to Heidelberg 44-0 Saturday. Heidelberg scored twice in the final 1:16 of the first half to double its lead from 15-0 to 30-0 to seize control of the game. QB Justin Lee was 9-of-21 for 82 yards and three interceptions in his first career start. WR Gunner Kelly pulled down a team-high four passes for 26 yards. RB Chase Manica led the rushing attack with 69 yards on 17 rushes. LB Tarrell Starckey had a team-high 12 tackles, 11 of them solos, with one tackle for loss and two pass breakups.
MC Leaders: The WC running game is led this season by RB Chase Manica (75 att., 322 yards, 1 TD) and RB Kyle Davis (49 att, 154 yards). QB Luke Creditt is 59-of-115 passing for 763 yards and 3 TDs. WR Justin Lee (40 rec., 458 yards, 3 TDs) and WR Aroyal Wright (26 rec., 466 yards, 1 TD) lead the WC receivers. DB Tarrell Starckey, LB Nick Williams, and DL David Henry lead the WC defense with 84, 76 and 62 tackles, respectively. DL David Henry leads WC with 5 sacks.
