Football receives votes in fifth weekly D3football.com poll

ADA – The Ohio Northern football team received votes in the fifth weekly D3football.com poll.
The Polar Bears (3-1 overall, 2-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 24 points in the voting after a three-week absence in the poll.
Defending national champion Wisconsin-Whitewater is ranked first with 619 points and 21 of the 25 first place votes, Mount Union is second with 600 points and two first place votes and Linfield (Ore.) is third with 568 points and the final two place votes.
Ohio Northern is coming off a thrilling 30-27 victory at then-No. 11 John Carroll on Saturday at University Heights.
The Polar Bears have now been mentioned in the D3football.com poll in 14 of the last 17 years.
ONU will return to action next on Saturday at No. 2 Mount Union in Alliance.
