Football receives votes in second weekly D3football.com poll

ADA – The Ohio Northern football team received votes in the second weekly D3football.com poll.
The Polar Bears (1-0 overall) received three points in the voting after receiving seven points in the first weekly poll last week.
Defending national champion Wisconsin-Whitewater is ranked first with 618 points and 19 of the 25 first place votes, Mount Union is second with 600 points and the four first place votes and Linfield (Ore.) is third with 565 points and the final two place votes.
Ohio Northern is coming off a thrilling 29-22 victory over Utica (N.Y.) in its 2015 season opener last week at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears have now been mentioned in the D3football.com poll in 14 of the last 17 years.
ONU will open the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of its schedule on Saturday with a home contest against Baldwin Wallace at 7 pm at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
