Football picked to finish fourth in coaches poll and third in media poll at OAC Media Day

CANTON – Ohio Northern was selected to finish third in the media poll and fourth in the coaches poll at the 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Football Media Day on Tuesday afternoon at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
ONU received 195 points in the media poll to finish third and 58 points in the coaches poll to finish fourth.
Mount Union was tabbed as the preseason favorite by both the media and coaches, collecting 25 first place media votes and 9 first place votes from the coaches.
John Carroll was chosen to finish second in both the media poll and the coaches poll collecting 2 first place votes from the media, while Heidelberg claimed the third place spot in the coaches poll and fourth in the media poll.
"We knocked on the door last season and are looking to take the next step," Ohio Northern head coach Dean Paul said. "We are looking to continue to move forward and build on our positive momentum."
The Polar Bears went 7-3 overall in 2014 and tied for fourth in the conference with a record of 6-3.
