ADA -- The Ohio Northern football team fell 62-0 to No. 3-ranked Mount Union on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 2-3 overall and are 1-3 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Purple Raiders improve to 5-0, 4-0.
Junior Justin Magazine carried the ball 17 times for 51 yards and senior Patrick Angle completed 13-of-25 passes for 42 yards to lead the Ohio Northern offense.
ONU honored the Wounded Warrior Project before the game and honored Hall of Fame running back Jamal Robertson at halftime.
Kevin Burke led the Mount Union offense, completing 20-of-31 passes for 327 yards and three TDs and ran eight times for 65 yards and three more scores.
Sophomore Dan Eller had nine tackles and an interception to lead the ONU defense.
Mount Union led 21-0 after the first period, 35-0 at halftime and 59-0 after three quarters.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday at 2 pm at Capital.
