Senior Ryan Reid named OAC Football Defensive Player of the Week

ADA — Senior cornerback Ryan Reid has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Football Defensive Player of the Week for the Week of Sept. 2-8.

On Saturday against Alfred State (N.Y.), Reid had three tackles and two interceptions to lead the Polar Bear defense.

He also returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown to give Ohio Northern a 21-0 lead with 9:46 left in the half.

The Polar Bears (1-0 overall, 0-0 OAC) will be in action again on Sep. 21 when they travel to No. 11-ranked Heidelberg for a 2 pm kick off in the third annual Bendekovic Bowl.
