Football to open 2013 slate Sept. 7 against Alfred State (N.Y.) at Ada War Memorial Stadium

ADA — The Ohio Northern football team will open its 2013 season under ninth-year head coach Dean Paul on Sept. 7 against Alfred State (N.Y.) in a 1 pm contest at Ada War Memorial Stadium.
The Pioneers are transitioning from a junior college and will be in their first season as an NCAA Division III member this fall.
The game has been moved to Ada Park due to the installation of field turf at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears will play host to defending national champion Mount Union on Oct. 5 at 1:30 pm at Dial-Roberson Stadium and will dedicate Bill Robinson Field that day.
Homecoming Weekend will feature a home game with Marietta at 1:30 on Oct. 19.
ONU will also host John Carroll at 1:30 pm on Oct. 26 and Otterbein at 1 pm on Nov. 16.
The Polar Bears will play road games at Heidelberg on Sept. 21, at Capital on Sept. 28, at Baldwin Wallace on Oct. 12, at Muskingum on Nov. 2 and at Wilmington on Nov. 9.
