Ohio Northern celebrates Black History Month: Floyd Keith

Floyd Keith has compiled a long and successful career in coaching and business since his graduation from Ohio Northern in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in education.
Keith was inducted into the ONU Hall of Fame in 2003 and has received numerour national honors. He was recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of "The 101 Most Influential Minorities in Sports".
He was the executive director of the Black Coaches Association from 2001-13.
Keith coached college football at the Division I level for 30 years, including seven seasons as the head coach of the University of Rhode Island from 1993-99.
He was also the head coach at Howard for four seasons, an assistant coach at Indiana for nine seasons and spent five seasons as an assistant coach at Colorado.
Keith got his start in coaching as a 21-year old full-time assistant at Miami (Ohio).
He lettered in football at Ohio Northern as a freshman in 1967.
